So here are the close-ups of all the champions from the last post. This is “Champion of Khorne” – “Warhammer and Bestial Face” (073130/14).
So this is a Khorne Champion with the hound mask. What I like about these old models is, that they don’t display the chaos symbols as prominently as the new GW Bloodbound.
The paintjob on this miniature follows the general scheme for all of the champions. Mostly silver/gold for the armour and red highlights for selected parts. I opted for a brass colour on the helmet, to set it apart from the rest of the model.
Colors used:
- For the silver parts I used GW Leadbelcher, washed it with thinned down GW Nuln Oil and drybrushed it with P3 Chainmail (not sure, have to look it up).
- Gold parts are just GW Retributor Gold washed with thinned down GW Agrax Earthshade and whatever drybrushing they got, when I do the silver armour.
- Red is done with GW Mephiston Red, washed with GW Agrax Earthshade and then highlighted up with GW Mephiston Red and GW Evil Sunz Red.
- The brass used GW Warplock Bronze with a drybrush of Army Painter True Copper.
